The experimental research on remote the wind direct and radial current in HF hybrid sky-surface wave radar

A new kind of radar system is proposed namely as high frequency sky-surface radar(HFSSR) in recent years, and the sea clutter obtained by HFSSR contains information of the sea state. For the application research of the radar in the sea state detection, sea surface wind direction and radial current information are got using HFSSR based on the existing wind direction and ocean currents inversion methods. The results are compared with the data measured by the shipboard, and have good consistency. The experimental results show that sea state obtained by HFSSR has certain feasibility.
