      Simulation and monostatic RCS calculation of ship turbulent wake

      • Based on bi-linear superposition method and semi-empirical energy spectrum expression, the turbulent wake behind the ship, which consists of a vortex pair and jet flows, is numerically simulated. A hybrid physical optics(PO) and two scale method (TSM) is presented to calculate the backscatter from the turbulent wake. The efficiency and accuracy of this method are validated through a comparison between the classical two scale method and the experimental data.
