      A novel miniaturized full netcom antenna for mobile terminal

      • In this paper, a novel miniaturized antenna for full Netcom mobile terminal devices is proposed. The antenna consists of reference ground plane and planar antenna, and is fed with coaxial cable. The high-frequency passband response of the antenna is achieved by the fundamental mode of the high-frequency unit and the higher order modes excited in the branch of low frequency unit. The low frequency passband response is accomplished by the low frequency unit with the broadening width to increase the low frequency bandwidth. The compact size of the antenna is 30 mm×67 mm, wherein the radiation unit is 33 mm×30 mm, and the reference ground size is 34 mm×30 mm. The structure and size of the antenna are analyzed and optimized with the HFSS software, meanwhile, the return loss, surface current and radiation pattern are also analyzed. The measured -6 dB impendence bandwidth of the antenna prototype is 820-968 MHz, 1 695-3 020 MHz. It covers the complete 2G, 3G, 4G network spectrum of domestic mobile operators issued by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China. The antenna is simple in structure, small in size and covers a wide frequency, and it has certain value in practical applications.
