Abstract
Antenna arrays are the core hardware of phased array radars. In this paper, the integration technology of phased arrays is discussed from three aspects. Firstly, antennas and feedline are designed and optimized from the system perspective. By using a new coupler, the size of the antenna array is reduced by 25%, and the performance of the array is improved. Secondly, the design technology of three-dimensional microwave and digital hybrid circuit is adopted. The three-dimensional microwave circuit is designed through the analysis on via-hole. The digital circuit used to control wave-beam is designed taking into account the layout, shield, matching circuit and so on. Thirdly, by applying the co-simulation techniques for RF and digital signals, the resonance in Ku-band is restrained, the reflection is reduced, and the performance of the digital circuit is improved. An example is given to validate the design method. The optimal allocation of array telecommunication, array structure and system resources is realized. The integration and miniaturization of the antenna array are achieved.
