Abstract
By analyzing the low-frequency (LF) magnetic shielding effectiveness formulation, five metal materials were chosen as shielding box with consideration of the electromagnetic properties,physical properties,etc. The conductivity and relative permeability of each material respectively. According to the shielding effectiveness formulation and the simulation results,the shielding effectiveness of different materials was investigated and compared. Then,we also measured LF magnetic shielding effectiveness of three metal boxes in different frequencies. It turns out that testing and simulation results match well. The results show that permalloy box owns the best LF magnetic shielding effectiveness. Although 0Cr13 behaves slightly worse than permalloy in LF magnetic shielding effectiveness,it is better than all other materials. In addition,0Cr13 has good cost performance. Consequently,it is advisable to apply 0Cr13 as the material of shielding box when a certain LF magnetic shielding effectiveness is demanded.
