Abstract
Existence of targets inside buildings or rooms introduces multipath in the radar return, which results in false targets in the original beamformed image. In the traditional processing of through-wall radar scattered data, the multipath return was regarded as clutter and many methods were proposed for suppressing these interference. As each multipath return provides some additional information about the target, we develop a multipath exploitation technique based on the indoor radio propagation revised model and multiple-path scattering model. Based on the back propagation imaging algorithm, a method for localizing the focused multipath ghosts is provided, then we introduce the two-dimensional exponential weighting function to achieve the virtual multi-views image. Simulations and experimental data are used to validate the proposed algorithm.
