      The model of ionospheric field-aligned irregularities scattering geometry

      • Based on the characteristics of ionospheric field-aligned irregularities scattering, and by investigating the geometry relationship of incident, scatter wave and magnetic field derection of scattering point, a model of ionospheric field-aligned irregularities scattering geometry is derived, and different latitudes and height ionospheric field-aligned irregularities scattering are analyzed. The results predicted by the model have good agreement with data in the literatures. The model given herein can be helpful to construct VHF ionospheric scattering communication system.
