Abstract
To solve the problem that under-dense meteor trail interference can decline the performance in target detection of over-the-horizon radar (OTHR), under-dense meteor trail interference suppression algorithm based on TLS-ESPRIT is proposed. Firstly, complex empirical mode decomposition (CEMD) is utilized to estimate the position of meteor trail interference, and Hankel matrix is constructed by the echo data at the position of meteor trail interference. Then the Hankel matrix is solved by TLS-ESPRIT, so echo data of meteor trail interference is obtained in time domain. Finally, time domain echo data of meteor trail interference is subtracted from echo data, thus echo data in which meteor trail interference has been refrained is obtained. Compared with existing meteor trail interference suppression methods, the method proved by this article could reduce the remnant of meteor trail interference and improve signal to clutter plus noise ratio (SCNR) of target.
