Abstract
On purpose of actualizing wideband right/left-handed transmission line,a composite right/left-handed transmission line(CRLH-TL)with anti symmetric X-shaped periodicity structure was proposed and designed. The equivalent circuit model of CRLH-TL was set up firstly, and its resonance property was validated through the extracted values of the equivalent circuit components and the simulated S parameters of CRLH-TL.Moreover,the constitutive parameters were extracted and analyzed by using inversion algorithm to demonstrate that the proposed structure working with 1.6 GHz frequency band width,on which it presented left-handed properties at 10.08~10.9 GHz,while with right-handed properties at 9.3~10.08 GHz,and it is a wideband CRLH-TL.At last, the CRLH-TL was fabricated with printed circuit board, and a parallel-plate waveguide(PPW)measurement system was employed to test the S parameters of the CRLH-TL. The testing results are constant with the simulation results in general, which demonstrats the validity of the proposed CRLH-TL.This provids a valid method to the design and analysis for CRLH-TL.
