      Pattern synthesis of antenna based on an adaptive genetic algorithm

      • An improved pattern synthesis is proposed,which is based on an adaptive genetic algorithm(GA).In this method,the aperture distribution of the antenna is described by a weighted sum of some basis functions,and the crossover rate,the mutation rate and the mutation range are simultaneously adaptive during the optimization process.Compared with conventional GA,the number of variables can be greatly reduced,the curves of phase and amplitude distributions are smoother,convergence speed is faster,and the dynamic range ratio(DRR)is reduced.Finally,numerical simulation results are presented to verify the effectiveness of the algorithm.
