Modeling of the regional ionosphere in China based on the combined CMONOC and IGS GPS data

      • In order to improve the accuracy of ionospheric vertical total electron content modeling in China and reduce the ionospheric modeling errors in and around the Chinese ocean, this paper uses the Crustal Movement Observation Network of China (CMONOC) and International GNSS Service(IGS) GPS data for ionospheric modeling. At the same time, quantitative investigation is conducted on the ionospheric modeling strategies in China. The influence of various modeling strategies on the ionospheric modeling accuracy in China region is compared, and a more suitable ionospheric modeling method is presented. The modeling results are compared with the IGS integrated grid products and the modeling results of the Institute of Seismology, China Earthquake Administration using the data of mono-continental network. The results show that compared with the ionospheric grid products published by IGS data centers, the mean error is 1.2109 TECu, and the inner agreement accuracy is 1.050 TECu with the ionospheric TEC measured by satellite. It shows that joint data modeling can improve the accuracy of regional modeling in China to a certain extent, and reduce the error of regional modeling edge.
