Abstract
A compact triple trap UWB-MIMO antenna with high isolation is proposed, with overall dimensions of 38 mm×26 mm×1.2 mm. A high degree of isolation is achieved by loading a modified corrugated T-shaped decoupling structure on the ground plate and etching an inverted “π” slot; a “U” slot is etched on the radiating patch, a class “H” slot is etched on the feed line, and an “H” slot is etched on the right-hand side. By etching a “U” slot on the radiating patch, etching a class “H” slit on the feed line, and introducing an inverted “C” parasitic branch on the right side, trapping in the WiMAX (3.3−3.6 GHz), WLAN (5.15−5.85 GHz) and X-band (7.25−7.75 GHz) bands are achieved. Simulation and test results show that the antenna works in the frequency band of 2.9 to 11.3 GHz (relative bandwidth reaches 118.31%), with isolation less than −22.6 dB, envelope correlation coefficient (ECC) less than 0.01, high radiation efficiency and good radiation characteristics, and the designed antenna can be widely used in the field of wireless communication systems.
