      Construction and measurement verification of 6G mmWave multi-band multi-antenna channel measurement system

      • The millimeter-wave (mmWave) is a key technology of the fifth and sixth generation wireless communication systems. Designing a channel measurement system that can meet the requirements of 6G multi-band, multi-antenna and high dynamic range is the primary challenge for 6G wireless channel research. To meet this requirement, a mmWave multi-band channel measurement system is constructed in this paper, which can cover 24.25−28.5 GHz, 31.8−33.4 GHz, 37−42.5 GHz and other mmWave bands and can support up to 16×16 multi-antenna channel measurements. Firstly, the architecture and performance of the channel measurement system are introduced, and a multichannel parallel calibration scheme and measurement data processing algorithm are proposed. Secondly, the channel measurement experiments at frequency of 26 GHz in indoor and outdoor scenarios are conducted based on the channel measurement system, and the channel statistical characteristics such as path loss and delay spread are analyzed to verify the effectiveness of the channel measurement system. Through the analysis of the measured results, the effectiveness of the channel detector for mmWave band measurement is verified.
