Abstract
The main problem of satellite frequency resources is the reasonable and effective resources allocation. A power and bandwidth balancing system of outgoing links for multi-beam high-throughout satellites is proposed in this article. The system integrates the high-throughout satellite and gateway station systems, which realizes the power and bandwidth balancing using a closed-loop feedback algorithm. The system determines the power and bandwidth whether it is in normal monitoring cycle state. In the abnormal monitoring state, the closed-loop feedback algorithm realizes the automatic adjustment of power which ensures the balance of power and bandwidth. After the system configuration, the fluctuation of receiving level in the satellite travelling-wave tube amplifier (TWTA) is compressed from 1.5 dB to 0.5 dB fluctuation, and the fluctuation of the very small aperture terminal (VSAT) receiving signal to noise ratio (SNR) is reduced from 2.3 dB to 0.4 dB. The system optimizes the limitations caused by fixed allocation and it is suitable for high-throughout satellites.
