Abstract
The traditional offshore ultrashort wave radio mainly uses the line-of-sight mode to communicate with the shore, and its performance is greatly limited. Therefore, the ultrashort wave communication with over line-of-sight capability will be a general trend. This paper mainly studies the ultrashort wave channel affecting the current offshore over the horizon communication. Firstly, through analysis, it is proposed that tropospheric scattering transmission is the main mode of offshore over the horizon communication. Then, according to the multipath, Doppler and loss problems caused by scattering communication, Clarke and Jakes are proposed to simulate the tropospheric scattering channel. Finally, the conclusion of the characteristics of over the horizon scattering communication channel is given, and the bit error rate of QPSK modulation in the scattering channel is simulated. The bit error conclusion similar to the theoretical Rayleigh fading channel is obtained, which can provide an important reference for the subsequent extended analysis of ultra short wave over the horizon communication.
