Abstract
Different ionosphere propagation modes are the main causes of the inter-symbol interference (ISI) for high frequency (HF) digital communication. In order to overcome ISI, an HF channel equalization method based on error propagation is proposed in this paper, moreover, mathematical expressions and realization steps are given. Digital simulation and HF link experiments show that information symbol error variance of our method is lower 50% than that of nonlinear data directed equalization (NDDE), and our method has advantages in low signal to noise (SNR).
