      An improved symbol timing synchronization algorithm

      • 摘要: 基于16进制的正交振中幅调制(Quadrature amplitude modulation,QAM)通信系统,参照Gardener算法提出了一种改进的插值结构,减小了插值过程中由于频谱混叠造成的系统误差,提高了滤波器的输出精度.并对定时误差检测方法进行了修正,使其能够实现四电平调制信号符号误差的检测,且硬件实现复杂度低.仿真与实际测试均表明该算法在较低信噪比及大符号偏差下有较高的稳健性与有效性.

         

        Abstract: According to Gardener algorithm based on 16 quadrature am plitude modulation(16QAM) communication system, an improved interpolation structure is proposed .It reduces the systematic errors caused by spectrum aliasing and improves the accuracy of the output of the filter. Timing error detection method is modified to achieve four level modulation signal symbol error and hardware implementation complexity is low. Simulation and practical test show that the algorithm has high robustness and effectiveness in low SNR and high symbol deviation.
