      太赫兹波束可调谐的编码超表面设计

      • 摘要: 编码超表面可以通过编码序列设计对波束进行灵活调控,文中提出一种基于二氧化钒(VO2)的可调谐太赫兹编码超表面. 设计中借助可调谐单元与不可调谐单元,通过VO2由绝缘态到金属态的相变,在0.97 THz处实现了多种远场波束的动态切换. 此外,还设计了双频带太赫兹编码超表面,在0.97和1.97 THz两个不同频率下均可实现双波束. 这项工作为设计可调谐编码超表面、实现波束间灵活调控开辟了一条新的途径,将在通信和雷达领域具有广泛的应用前景.

         

        Abstract: Due to flexible beam manipulation, coding metasurface has received tremendous interest. A tunable terahertz coding metasurface based on vanadium dioxide is proposed in this paper. With the help of tunable unit and non-tunable unit, a tunable terahertz coding metasurface is designed by use of the phase transition of vanadium dioxide from insulating to metallic state. In addition, a dual-band terahertz coding metasurface is designed to realize dual beam manipulation at both 0.97 and 1.97 THz. This work opens up a new way to design tunable coding metasurface and realize flexible beam control. It will be important for promising applications in the fields of communication and radar.
